MausBot MCP setup

Give your MausBot bots real US numbers for codes with one pasted MCP line, and point a browser they start at a 4G/5G IP in the country you pick. The key is typed once and never shown again.

$ claude mcp add voidmob -e VOIDMOB_API_KEY=YOUR_API_KEY -- npx -y @voidmob/mcp

Then ask MausBot

What's my VoidMob balance?

A number back means the key and the install both work.

Paste the whole line into the one box. MausBot reads the name, the command and the variable, asks for the key's value, connects and lists the tools. Bots set to use every enabled server get it on their next task.

Set up VoidMob in MausBot

One step is yours whichever path you take: create an API key in the dashboard and top up the balance with crypto.

  1. Create a key and fund the balance

Create a key under Developers, API Keys in the VoidMob dashboard (it is shown once) and top up with crypto. Bots can spend the balance and nothing beyond it.

  2. Add the server in MausBot

Open Plugins, MCP servers, Add server and paste the line above. When MausBot asks for the key's value, type it in. The server connects and lists its tools.

  3. Ask for your balance

In a chat with any bot, ask "What is my VoidMob balance?". A number in the reply means the bot reached the server.

  4. Install a browser that takes a proxy

In a terminal on the same computer, run npm install -g agent-browser, then agent-browser install. It is a second browser for proxy tasks. MausBot keeps its own.

  5. Tell the bot to use it

Ask for a US list, then say: "Browse with agent-browser --proxy and this list's login, not the built-in browser." Pass the flag on the command, not as a shell variable.

A shared plan is billed per GB, and opening a page or two uses very little of it. The page shows the exit address, so you see where the bot appears to be before you rely on it.

Checks before every charge

Two checks always run at VoidMob: the price you approved and your balance. Two more run inside your MCP server when you set them. A refusal at any of them charges nothing.

No SMS, no charge

A verification number stays open 15 minutes. If no SMS arrives, the price returns to the balance automatically, except on services marked non-refundable.

Keys you can pull

Give MausBot its own key and revoke it on the API Keys page whenever you like. It stops working at once.

When MausBot and VoidMob disagree

  • The bot's browser still shows your own address

MausBot's built-in browser sends every connection through its own local gate and has no proxy setting. On the desktop app that gate connects from your computer, so pages see your address.

    Fix

Have the bot start agent-browser with --proxy for the task, as in the steps above. A browser started that way sits outside MausBot's gate and takes the list's login.

  • A socks5:// address with a login never loads

Chrome offers no username and password method for SOCKS5, so the proxy refuses the connection before any page loads. The same list works over HTTP on the same port.

    Fix

Use http:// with the list's login. An IP-whitelist list needs no login, so a bare proxy.voidmob.com:10000 works for it.

  • A bot cannot see the VoidMob tools

A bot with an explicit server selection in its access settings only uses the servers on that list. A new server is not added to it automatically.

    Fix

Open the bot's access settings and tick the server, then send the next task. A bot set to use every enabled server needs nothing.

  • A purchase goes through with no approval card

Every MausBot bot starts at Full access, which answers the engine's own permission prompts for you. The quote-first rule then rests on VoidMob's server alone.

    Fix

Switch the bot to Ask for approval so the engine's own prompts reach you, or add -e VOIDMOB_MAX_ORDER_CENTS=2500 -e VOIDMOB_BUDGET_CENTS=5000 to the pasted line for hard caps.

Give MausBot a balance to draw on

Create an API key, top it up with crypto, and paste it where the setup above says. Prefer to look first? The MCP server runs on play money with no key.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about VoidMob in MausBot.

Can MausBot's own browser use a VoidMob proxy?
No. Every Chrome MausBot launches for a bot connects through MausBot's own local gate, and its settings have no field for an outside proxy. A separate browser the bot starts itself, such as agent-browser --proxy, does take one.
Does this cover MausBot Cloud?
No, the steps are for the desktop app. A Cloud bot runs in a sandbox whose only way out is MausBot's own gateway, so a browser there cannot be pointed at a proxy of its own.
Why a proxy when the desktop app already uses my connection?
On the desktop app a bot's pages see your own address and country. A VoidMob list gives a task a 4G/5G carrier IP in another country, such as a US phone user's view of a storefront while you work from abroad.
Will a bot buy without asking?
VoidMob's MCP server tells the bot to quote the live price and wait for your yes, and each buy carries that price, so a higher one is refused. MausBot's default Full access adds no card of its own, so set the bot to Ask for approval if you want one.
Can a bot test my app's SMS login?
Yes. Give the test account a dedicated monthly number and let the bot read the code your app sends, since a dedicated number receives SMS from any sender. One-time numbers only take codes from the services in the VoidMob catalog.
