Octo Browser proxy setup

Add a VoidMob mobile proxy to an Octo Browser profile from its Proxy / VPN field: a sticky proxy list per profile on the pay-per-GB plan, or a dedicated 4G/5G device whose rotation link goes into URL for IP Change.

Proxy lists from $3.99 per GB, dedicated devices from $49 a month.

Add a VoidMob proxy to Octo Browser

In Octo Browser: New Profile, General, Proxy / VPN, then Add a new proxy / VPN.

  1. Get the credentials

On a pay-per-GB package, create one proxy list per profile on the order page under Proxy Lists, set it to Sticky, and note the SOCKS5 port it was issued. For a dedicated device, open its proxy page for the host, SOCKS5 port, login and rotation link.

  2. Open the new proxy window

In New Profile, on the General tab, click the Proxy / VPN field and choose Add a new proxy / VPN. The Set up a new proxy / VPN window opens on the New tab with Proxy selected, which is where your own proxy goes.

  3. Paste the line into Host

Set the dropdown at the start of the Proxy row to SOCKS5, then paste socks5://host:port:login:password into Host. Octo fills Port, Login and Password from that one line, or you can type each field yourself.

  4. Add the link, for a device

On a dedicated device only, paste its rotation link into URL for IP Change. Tick Save to the Proxy Manager if you want the device listed there, where its change IP option calls the same link.

  5. Check, then verify inside

Click Connection check and wait for the green Available notice with the exit's flag. Confirm, create the profile, and look at the exit, timezone and languages from inside it before the first login.

Settings that follow the IP

Leave these on the values below and Octo Browser describes the same place the exit IP does.

Languages
Based on IP (default)
Octo checks the external IP each time the profile starts and sets the matching languages, so they follow the carrier exit.
Timezone
Based on IP (default)
Set automatically from the exit's location on every launch, so the clock matches the device's country.
Geolocation
Based on IP (default)
Sites that ask through the Geolocation API get coordinates within the exit's area, and only after you allow the prompt.
WebRTC
Based on IP (default)
Octo swaps the address WebRTC reports for the proxy's external IP, so a WebRTC probe sees the exit.
DNS
Empty (default)
Left empty, the profile uses the proxy's DNS server rather than a custom one you set by hand.

Proxy list or dedicated device

Both work in Octo Browser. The difference is who else shares the exit and how it rotates.

When Octo Browser and the proxy disagree

  • Several profiles change IP at the same moment

They use one saved proxy, so a single call to its URL for IP Change moves every profile behind that device

Give each profile its own proxy list or device. The Profiles column in the Proxy Manager shows how many profiles already use each entry.

  • The check fails with Failed to establish a connection

The protocol and port disagree (SOCKS5 pointed at port 10000), or your own ISP blocks the address Octo checks proxies against

Pair SOCKS5 with the SOCKS5 port, or HTTP with port 10000. If the line works in curl but not in Octo, run the check again over another connection, as Octo's FAQ suggests.

    Run the check
  • Octo's flag and a checker disagree on the country

Octo reads location from a database built for compatibility with Google services, and checkers use other databases

Point the list at the account's country first. If the databases still disagree, set languages and timezone by hand, as Octo advises, then compare from inside the profile.
