After you pay

  1. Pay from your balance

  2. Get the QR code

It appears in your dashboard with the manual activation code as soon as the order completes.

  3. Install, then land

Scan it on Wi-Fi. The eSIM installs once, on one device, and validity counts from activation.

Transparent Routing

Know your IP before you pay

Every eSIM connects you in Kenya, but plans differ on where your internet traffic exits, and that exit is the location websites see. Most providers hide it. We print it on every plan.

Israel exit · 4G

Your traffic exits in Israel, so websites see an Israel IP.

Networks

Local networks in Kenya

Your eSIM rides the same towers as a local SIM. These networks are behind the Kenya plans; which one you join depends on the plan and on the signal where you are.

About this destination

What to expect in Kenya

Safaricom carries this eSIM, and most of Kenya with it: the Communications Authority counted 69.8% of the country's 88 million active mobile lines on Safaricom in June 2026, with Airtel a distant second. Our Kenya plans run on its 4G/LTE.

Safaricom launched Kenya's first commercial 5G in October 2022 and reported 1,700 5G sites, reaching about 30% of the population, in its 2025 financial year. These plans stay on 4G/LTE, enough for maps, ride-hailing and video calls from Nairobi to the coast.

Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International handled more than 8.5 million passengers in 2025, past its 7.5 million design capacity. Each plan shows its exit before you buy: the Kenya plans leave through Israel and the Africa bundle through the UK or Singapore, so none gives a Kenyan IP.

FAQ

Kenya eSIM questions

Can I use M-Pesa with this eSIM?
Not on its own. M-Pesa sits on a registered Safaricom line, and visitors register one with an original passport at a Safaricom shop or dealer, including the counters in JKIA arrivals. This eSIM carries data only, with no Kenyan number to attach M-Pesa to.
Do I need a passport to get a SIM in Kenya?
For a local SIM, yes. Under the SIM registration regulations in force since May 30, 2025, foreign nationals register with a passport or a foreign national registration certificate. This eSIM is a data plan bought online, and VoidMob's checkout asks for no ID.
Is there 5G on the Kenya eSIM?
No. Safaricom's 5G has reached all 47 counties since August 2024, but these plans are sold as 4G/LTE, so the phone stays on LTE even where a 5G signal shows. Maps, messaging and video calls run comfortably on it.
Why does my IP show Israel in Kenya?
The Kenya plans route traffic out through Israel, an exit shown on each plan before you buy, while the radio link stays on Safaricom's Kenyan towers. Africa bundle plans that cover Kenya exit in the UK or Singapore instead, and none of the options is Kenyan.
Does the Kenya plan work in Tanzania or Uganda?
No, a Kenya plan uses Kenyan networks only and stops at the border. For a route that crosses into Tanzania for the Serengeti, or into Uganda, pick an Africa bundle plan whose list in the dashboard names them alongside Kenya.
Do I need ID to buy this eSIM, and how do I pay?
No ID or KYC: sign in with a crypto wallet or an email address and pay from a crypto balance. A deposit credits once the network confirms it, usually within 20 minutes, and the eSIM QR code is issued when the order completes.
