Transparent Routing

Know your IP before you pay

Every eSIM connects you in Cambodia, but plans differ on where your internet traffic exits, and that exit is the location websites see. Most providers hide it. We print it on every plan.

About this destination

What to expect in Cambodia

Cambodia's three networks, Cellcard, Metfone and Smart, all switched on 5G on January 1, 2026, starting with Phnom Penh and parts of fourteen provinces. This eSIM connects to Cellcard and Metfone, and our Cambodia plans are sold as 4G/LTE, which handles maps, messaging and ride-hailing well.

Both main airports are new. Techo International (KTI), south of Phnom Penh, took over commercial flights in September 2025, and Siem Reap-Angkor (SAI) sits about 50 km east of town, so data helps on the long transfer.

Data exits in Singapore, or in Hong Kong on some Asia Pacific bundle plans, so Cambodian sites see a foreign address. Ookla's median mobile download was about 54 Mbps in August 2025, up 87% in a year.

FAQ

Cambodia eSIM questions

Which mobile network is best in Cambodia?
Cellcard, Metfone and Smart share about 90% of users, and all three launched 5G together in January 2026. This eSIM can use Cellcard or Metfone, so you are not tied to one network's gaps.
Will I get 5G in Phnom Penh on this eSIM?
Not on the current plans, which are sold as 4G/LTE. Cambodia's 5G went live in Phnom Penh and parts of fourteen provinces in January 2026, but LTE on Cellcard and Metfone is enough for navigation, messaging and video calls.
Does it work at the new Techo airport?
Yes. Techo International, about 19 km south of Phnom Penh, replaced the old Phnom Penh airport for commercial flights on September 9, 2025. Switch the line on after landing; validity counts from activation.
Is it useful around Angkor?
Yes. Siem Reap was among the provinces in the first 5G phase, and our plans use the Cellcard and Metfone LTE layer there. The new Siem Reap-Angkor airport is about 50 km from town, so having data for the ride in helps.
Is an eSIM card for Cambodia a physical SIM?
No card is involved. You scan a QR code and the profile installs on your phone, once, on one device. Your home SIM can stay in place for bank texts while the eSIM carries data.
Do I need ID to buy this eSIM, and how do I pay?
No ID or KYC: sign in with a crypto wallet or an email address and pay from a crypto balance. A deposit credits once the network confirms it, usually within 20 minutes, and the eSIM QR code is issued when the order completes.
