After you pay

  1. Pay from your balance

Top it up in crypto first. A deposit credits once the network confirms, usually within 20 minutes.

  2. Get the QR code

It appears in your dashboard with the manual activation code as soon as the order completes.

  3. Install, then land

Scan it on Wi-Fi. The eSIM installs once, on one device, and validity counts from activation.

Plans are non-refundable once bought, unless the eSIM fails to activate. Refund policy

Transparent Routing

Know your IP before you pay

Every eSIM connects you in China, but plans differ on where your internet traffic exits, and that exit is the location websites see. Most providers hide it. We print it on every plan.

Hong Kong exit · 5G

Your traffic exits in Hong Kong, so websites see a Hong Kong IP on 5G.

Networks

Local networks in China

Your eSIM rides the same towers as a local SIM. These networks are behind the China plans; which one you join depends on the plan and on the signal where you are.

About this destination

What to expect in China

China Mobile dwarfs its rivals with about a billion subscribers, followed by China Telecom and China Unicom, and each plan here uses China Unicom or China Mobile. All three launched 5G in October 2019, and our China plans are sold as 5G. Turn the line on after landing in Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou.

The plans exit in Hong Kong or Singapore, and each shows which before you buy; the Asia Pacific bundle adds a Macao exit. Sort payments early: Alipay and WeChat Pay both accept linked Visa and Mastercard cards from visitors, and Alipay books taxis, hotels and attraction tickets in English.

FAQ

China eSIM questions

Are eSIMs banned in China?
No. China's regulator approved eSIM service for smartphones on October 13, 2025, and China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom began commercial trials. A foreign phone with a travel eSIM like this one connects to China Unicom or China Mobile, depending on the plan.
Is China Unicom a good network for a trip?
It is the third of China's big three by subscribers, behind China Mobile and China Telecom, but still a national network with 5G since October 2019. Some plans here use China Mobile instead, and all are sold as 5G.
Where does China plan traffic exit?
In Hong Kong or Singapore, depending on the plan, and each one shows its exit before you buy. The Asia Pacific bundle adds a Macao exit. Websites see an address in that city.
Can I pay with Alipay or WeChat Pay as a visitor?
Yes. Both let foreign users link Visa and Mastercard cards, and the central bank raised visitors' transaction limits in 2024. Alipay also handles taxi hailing, hotel bookings and attraction tickets, all of which need data.
Will the China eSIM work in Hong Kong or Macau?
No, the China plans cover the mainland only. Hong Kong and Macau run on their own networks, so a trip through all three suits an Asia Pacific bundle plan that lists all three in its coverage; the dashboard shows each plan's list.
Do I need ID to buy this eSIM, and how do I pay?
No ID or KYC: sign in with a crypto wallet or an email address and pay from a crypto balance. A deposit credits once the network confirms it, usually within 20 minutes, and the eSIM QR code is issued when the order completes.
