Why mobile IPs work on LinkedIn
LinkedIn treats a network the way it treats a device: as part of the account's identity. Every login is compared with the history of cities, carriers and fingerprints that came before it, and the session cookie is expected to stay on the address that created it. Public data collection is the opposite shape. Logged-out company pages, job posts and public profiles hit a sign-in wall based on how many views come from one address, so holding a single exit is exactly the wrong move. Pay-per-GB works better here: rotate per request or per batch, keep concurrency modest, and set geo on the username when you need results as a local user sees them. Two operational rules cover most failures. First, never mix the lanes: an account that has to stay logged in should never touch a rotating pool, and a crawler should never sit on the IP your profiles use.
