Why mobile IPs work on Amazon
Amazon treats data collection and account access as two different problems, and the proxy setup that suits one is wrong for the other. Public catalogue work (prices, Buy Box, reviews, keyword ranking) is a volume problem: you want many exits, short sessions, modest concurrency per IP and clean backoff when a 503 appears. Account work (Seller Central, buyer accounts, checkout testing) is a stability problem: one exit, held indefinitely, with the browser profile pinned to it. Mixing the two on the same address is the most common way a working setup starts failing.
Carrier IPs help because Amazon cannot treat them as disposable. A mobile exit sits behind carrier NAT with thousands of genuine shoppers sharing the same address, so blanket blocking is expensive for Amazon and rate limits are applied more cautiously than on hosting ranges. That is the whole advantage, and it disappears if the rest of the session contradicts the IP: a German exit with an America/New_York timezone, an en-US locale and a US delivery postcode reads as a single inconsistent identity no matter how good the address is.
Regional accuracy matters more on Amazon than on most platforms because the marketplace itself is regional. Pricing, availability, delivery promise, ranking and even review sets differ per storefront, so an audit run from the wrong country produces data that looks plausible and is quietly useless.
