What 1688 looks at
The signals that decide whether a session reads as a phone or as automation.

One member account per user (1688 Terms of Use)
The [1688 Terms of Use](https://terms.alicdn.com/legal-agreement/terms/common_platform_service/20240913201059451/20240913201059451.html) say: "Except with our approval, one User may only register one member account on the Platform". 1688 may cancel or terminate a member account "if we have reasons to suspect that the User has concurrently registered or is in control of two or more Member accounts". The accounts lane on this page is one existing account, never a second one.
- 02
No shared accounts, even inside one business
The same [Terms](https://terms.alicdn.com/legal-agreement/terms/common_platform_service/20240913201059451/20240913201059451.html) state: "No Member may share, assign, or permit the use of your member account, ID or password by another person, even to other individuals within the Member's own business entity (where applicable)". A sourcing team generally gives each person their own account and their own session.
- 03
Domestic versus overseas users follow 1688's identification
Per the [Terms](https://terms.alicdn.com/legal-agreement/terms/common_platform_service/20240913201059451/20240913201059451.html), who counts as a user outside mainland China follows the platform's own identification: users authenticated with a mainland identity, and users registered with a domestic mobile number but not authenticated as overseas, are treated as domestic users. The classification comes from identity and phone number, subject to the platform's actual identification, not from the IP a page is viewed from.
- 04
Services vary by region
The [Terms](https://terms.alicdn.com/legal-agreement/terms/common_platform_service/20240913201059451/20240913201059451.html) say: "Services (or any features within the Services) may vary for different regions and countries". The [1688 Privacy Policy](https://terms.alicdn.com/legal-agreement/terms/privacy_policy_full/20240910184040770/20240910184040770.html) adds that where someone accesses and uses the Platform outside mainland China, 1688.COM PTE. LTD. is "the operator and also the data controller of 1688". Supplier pages viewed from outside mainland China may not match what a mainland buyer sees.
- 05
IP type and ASN (general network mechanics)
As a general mechanic, any site can read the ASN and type of the IP it receives: a datacenter or VPN range reads differently from a mobile carrier range. A VoidMob China exit is a real 4G/5G device on a consumer carrier connection, and its public IPv4 address sits behind the carrier's CGNAT, shared with ordinary subscribers.
- 06
Timezone and language against the exit (general mechanics)
Browsers report a timezone and preferred languages with every visit. As a general mechanic, a mainland China exit paired with a European timezone and an English-only language list is an inconsistent picture. Set the browser to Asia/Shanghai and add Simplified Chinese (zh-CN) before you open supplier pages.
- 07
WebRTC and DNS leaks (general mechanics)
WebRTC can expose your real IP outside the proxy, and DNS lookups sent through your home resolver point back to your own country. Both are general browser mechanics that undo a mainland exit, so test for them once on every new browser profile before you start.
What a real device clears
A VoidMob session exits through a phone on a consumer carrier, in the country you choose, on an IP you hold for the whole session. The network-side checks above read as a normal handset; the behaviour-side ones stay yours to manage.
Recommended configuration for 1688
The four settings that decide whether a session reads as one phone or as traffic. Set them once in the dashboard.
- Data collection
- Covers sourcing research on public 1688 pages: wholesale supplier prices, price breaks by quantity, minimum order quantities and supplier listings, compared across several suppliers for the same product. Reading them from a mainland carrier IP, at a person's pace, puts that research on a mainland connection.
- Plan
- Pay-per-GB pool. A shared carrier pool billed by traffic. Rotate as often as you like and pay only for the data you pull, which suits scraping and short sessions.See the rotating pool →
- Sticky session
- Off, a fresh mainland exit every few minutes is fine because the research list stays signed out
- Rotation
- Every 5 to 15 minutes, a timed rotation on a list exiting in China, kept signed out
- Accounts per IP
- No login: public supplier and product pages only
AI agents
An agent can run this 1688 setup
Once you create an API key and fund the balance, an AI agent can price the 1688 setup above, buy it when you say yes, pull the connection details, rotate the IP and watch usage through VoidMob's open-source MCP server. Works with Claude Code, Codex and other local MCP clients.
Common 1688 problems and their network cause
Supplier or product pages differ from what a mainland buyer describes
Pages viewed from outside mainland China may follow the overseas service, whose features vary by region. Fix: confirm the list's exit country reads China, then set the browser timezone to Asia/Shanghai and add Simplified Chinese.
Check it: Proxy Checker
Your member account asks you to sign in again partway through a session
The account is running on the timed-rotation research list, so the exit changed under a live login. Fix: move the account to its own China list set to Sticky and keep the research list for public pages only.
Check it: Platform Detection
A leak test shows your real country while the proxy is on
WebRTC is sending traffic outside the proxy, or DNS goes to your home resolver. Fix: block non-proxied WebRTC in the browser or profile settings and retest until only the China exit appears.
Check it: WebRTC Test
The exit IP reads China but the browser still reports your home timezone
The profile timezone and language were left on local defaults. Fix: set Asia/Shanghai and zh-CN in the browser or antidetect profile and check that they match the exit.
Check it: Location Test
The sticky list shows a new exit IP after a long break
Sticky has no fixed duration: it holds the same device while that device stays online, and a device that drops off is replaced. Fix: start a fresh session on the same sticky list and keep the account on that one list.

Why mobile IPs work on 1688
VoidMob sells 1688 proxies as real 4G/5G carrier IPs in mainland China, on pay-per-GB proxy lists. VoidMob: mobile proxies on real 4G/5G devices, non-VoIP SMS verification and eSIM. The China pool is almost entirely China Mobile, and each exit's public IPv4 address sits behind the carrier's CGNAT.
Shared GB costs the same whatever the exit country, so a China list is priced like any other. As of October 2026 a 1 GB package is $3.99, 10 GB is $35 and 100 GB works out to $2.50 per GB, each valid 30 days. The cheapest first test is the 1 GB package.
Run each lane on its own list. Supplier, price-break and MOQ research goes on a China list with a timed rotation of a few minutes and no login; your one member account goes on a second China list set to Sticky. For the trade-off in depth, read static vs rotating proxies.
