Why mobile IPs work on Craigslist
Craigslist is a set of city-scoped classifieds boards, and almost every detection decision it makes starts with where your IP sits and what kind of network it belongs to. Posting into a metro from a hosting range, or from an exit that resolves two states away, is the single most common reason a listing goes live in your account and never appears in the category. Mobile exits behave differently because carrier NAT puts many real subscribers behind the same address, which makes a single flagged session a poor reason to treat the whole IP as hostile.
The two jobs people bring here need opposite setups. Posting and account work wants one exit that never moves: a dedicated 4G/5G device in the country you post from, rotation left off, one account per IP, and its own browser profile so fingerprint and cookies do not link accounts that the network layer keeps separate. Listing collection wants the reverse: a pay-per-GB mobile pool with per-request or short-interval rotation, city targeting set per request, and no login to protect. Mixing them, running a crawler through the same exit as a seller account, is how a clean account inherits a scraper's reputation. Two things the proxy cannot do for you. It cannot fix a phone verification problem: Craigslist expects non-VoIP carrier numbers, and a number reused across accounts links them no matter how the traffic is routed. And it cannot repair an account that a platform has already acted against. Access after a ban, suspension or termination is outside what these proxies are for.
