What to expect in Finland
Finland has three national networks: Elisa, Telia, and DNA, owned by Telenor since 2019. Our Finnish pool is led by Elisa, with Telia second and DNA close behind, and Helsinki, Espoo, and Oulu are its deepest cities. Elisa opened the world's first commercial 5G network, in Tampere, in 2018.
Finns use more mobile data per person than any other Nordic or Baltic country. Traficom counted 78 GB per person per month in late 2025, about double Sweden's 2024 figure, and 89% of household mobile subscriptions have unlimited data.
Unlike its iPhone-first Nordic neighbours, Finland is an Android market, at about 64% of mobile traffic. Tori is the most visited shopping site, followed by the home and classifieds sites Oikotie and Etuovi.
