What to expect in Hungary

Hungary has three mobile networks: Magyar Telekom, majority owned by Deutsche Telekom, Yettel, and One, the former Vodafone Hungary that 4iG bought in 2023 and renamed in January 2025. Magyar Telekom leads our Hungarian pool, One is second and Yettel smaller. Budapest and Pest County are deepest.

Hungarians compare before they buy. Árukereső, a price-comparison site, was the most-visited shopping site in August 2026, ahead of Allegro, which opened allegro.hu in October 2024, and the classifieds sites ingatlan.com and Jófogás.

Grocery prices are public data too. Since July 2023 the competition authority's Árfigyelő site has published daily shelf prices from six chains, and by March 2025 it tracked about 3,000 products in 1,231 stores.

Common workflows

Árukereső and Allegro price monitoring

Track prices, shop rankings, and delivery costs on Árukereső and allegro.hu from Hungarian carrier IPs, as a Budapest shopper on Telekom or One sees them.

ingatlan.com and Jófogás listing data

Collect property listings from ingatlan.com and classifieds from Jófogás on rotating Magyar Telekom, One, and Yettel IPs, with the city set per market.

Grocery price benchmarking

Compare Hungarian grocers' online prices with the daily Árfigyelő data, loading each retailer's site from a Hungarian mobile connection as local shoppers do.

Hungarian Google and ad checks

Google handles about 95% of Hungarian searches. Check Hungarian-language results, shopping ads, and landing pages as mobile users in Budapest, Nyíregyháza, or Szekszárd see them.
