Network character

What to expect in Norway

Norway has three mobile networks: Telenor, Telia, and Ice, which has run its own network since 2015. Our Norwegian pool is led by Telia, with Telenor second and Ice a smaller share. Oslo is its deepest city, followed by Stavanger, Bergen, and Drammen.

Ice belongs to Lyse, the Stavanger energy and telecom group owned by South Rogaland municipalities, and Stavanger and Sandnes both appear in our pool. 3G is already gone: Telenor closed it in January 2021 and Telia that November.

Finn.no is the most visited shopping site, with the price-comparison site Prisjakt second. Snapchat reaches about 66% of Norwegians, ahead of Facebook at 54%, and iPhones account for about 59% of mobile traffic.
