What to expect in Qatar

Qatar has two mobile networks and no MVNOs, so every Qatari mobile IP belongs to Ooredoo or Vodafone Qatar. Ooredoo is larger nationally, but most of our Qatar devices sit on Vodafone Qatar. Both launched 5G in 2018, and Qatar's median mobile download speed sits near the top of global tables.

Qatari nationals are roughly one resident in nine; the rest are expatriates led by Indian, Bangladeshi, and Nepali communities, so campaigns serve Arabic, English, and South Asian languages. Talabat leads food delivery, Qatar Living and Mzad Qatar carry classifieds, and Instagram reaches about half the population, Snapchat about four in ten.

Nearly every device in our Qatar pool is in Doha, and the pool is small: hold sticky sessions for logged-in work and rotate between sessions, not on every request. App-based voice and video calls are widely reported as blocked on Qatari networks, while messaging works.

Common workflows

Qatar Living and Mzad listings

Post and manage listings on Qatar Living and Mzad Qatar from a Doha mobile IP, one account per sticky session, the way a resident on Vodafone or Ooredoo would.

Multilingual ad verification

Check that the Arabic, English, Hindi, and Malayalam versions of a campaign reach the right people in Qatar, from carrier IPs that ad platforms count as local mobile users.

Delivery-app price monitoring

Talabat, Snoonu, and Keeta compete on fees and promotions in Doha. Record what a Qatari customer is offered, menu by menu, from local mobile exits.

Calling-feature QA

Test how your app's voice and video call features behave on Ooredoo and Vodafone Qatar, where app-based calls are widely reported as blocked.
