What Shopee looks at

The signals that decide whether a session reads as a phone or as automation.

  1. 01

    IP type and ASN

Shopee weighs the network your request arrives from. Carrier ASNs behind CGNAT read as ordinary buyer traffic, while datacenter ranges draw rate limits, sliders and empty responses on the first few requests.

  2. 02

    Regional storefront match

Each Shopee country site expects traffic from an IP registered in that market. An out-of-market exit gets redirected, shown a different currency, or served a stripped-down catalog that does not match what local buyers see.

  3. 03

    Session continuity

Login cookies are issued against the exit that authenticated the session. If the IP changes mid-session, Seller Centre drops you back to the sign-in screen or triggers a fresh verification step.

  4. 04

    Browser and device fingerprint

Canvas, WebGL, fonts, timezone and Accept-Language are read alongside the IP. A Singapore or Indonesian exit paired with a UTC clock and en-US locale is a visible mismatch even when the IP itself is clean.

  5. 05

Request cadence on search and listing endpoints

Catalog, search and shop pages are cheap to fetch and heavily watched. Sustained bursts from one exit produce captcha challenges, truncated result sets and 403s long before an outright block.

  6. 06

    Account linkage

Shops that share an exit IP, a device fingerprint, a payout destination or a verification number are clustered together, which is why multiple shops on one IP tend to rise or fall as a group.

  7. What a real device clears

A VoidMob session exits through a phone on a consumer carrier, in the country you choose, on an IP you hold for the whole session. The network-side checks above read as a normal handset; the behaviour-side ones stay yours to manage.

Setup

Recommended configuration for Shopee

The four settings that decide whether a session reads as one phone or as traffic. Set them once in the dashboard.

Session settingsAccount management
PlanDedicated device
Sticky session
Auto-rotateOff, rotate on demand
Accounts per IP
Account management
Covers Seller Centre operations: listing and inventory management, campaign and voucher setup, buyer chat and order handling for shops you legitimately own. Shopee links shops by IP, device and payout details, so each shop needs its own stable mobile exit in its own market rather than a rotating pool.
Plan
Dedicated device. One phone and one carrier IP that is yours for the term. No other customer ever exits through it, so the account history on that IP is only yours.See dedicated devices
Sticky session
On, keep one sticky session per shop so Shopee sees a stable carrier IP across every login for that account.
Rotation
Off, hold the exit: Seller Centre logins, bulk listing uploads and chat replies all break if the IP changes mid-session.
Accounts per IP
One seller shop per IP, two at most for the same legal entity.
Match the exit country to the storefront you operate on, and keep browser timezone and language aligned with that market.

AI agents

An agent can run this Shopee setup

Everything on this page is callable by an AI agent. Searching plans, purchasing, pulling gateway credentials, rotating the IP and watching usage all run through VoidMob's open-source MCP server, so an agent can provision the configuration recommended above for Shopee without a human in the dashboard. Works with Claude, Cursor and any MCP client.

Troubleshooting

Common Shopee problems and their network cause

  • Seller Centre logs you out and loops back to the sign-in page

The exit IP changed mid-session, so the session cookie no longer matches the address it was issued on. Hold a sticky session or move the shop to a dedicated device.

    Check it: IP Checker

  • Slider or captcha on almost every search and listing page

Request cadence from one exit is too high, or the exit sits in a range Shopee treats as non-consumer. Rotate per batch on a pay-per-GB pool and confirm the exit type.

    Check it: Proxy Validator

  • Prices, vouchers and rankings differ from what local buyers report

The storefront resolves by IP geo plus browser locale. A mismatch between exit country, timezone and language gets you a generic or cross-border view.

    Check it: Location Test

  • Repeated phone or OTP re-verification on an established shop

Each login arrives from a different network, which reads as an account takeover risk. A single dedicated mobile exit per shop removes the step-up trigger.

    Check it: IP Checker

  • Listing endpoints return 403 or empty JSON immediately

The shared exit already carries abuse history. Check reputation before blaming your scraper, then move to a cleaner mobile range.

    Check it: Blacklist Checker

  • Two shops get restricted within hours of each other

They shared an IP, a browser profile or a verification number, so Shopee clustered them. Separate the network and the browser profile per shop.

Why it works

Why mobile IPs work on Shopee

Shopee is a set of national marketplaces rather than one global site, and that shapes every proxy decision. Prices, vouchers, shipping options, search ranking and even which listings exist all depend on the market you appear to be in. A US datacenter IP pointed at a Southeast Asian storefront gets a cross-border view at best and a challenge page at worst, which is why the exit country matters as much as the exit quality. Mobile exits in the target market are the closest match to how Shopee's actual buyers connect: real 4G and 5G devices behind carrier NAT, sharing an address with ordinary app traffic.

Seller work and data work want opposite configurations. Running a shop means holding one identity: the same exit IP for logins, listing uploads, campaign edits and buyer chat, because Shopee binds session cookies to the address that authenticated them and treats a moving IP as a takeover signal. Price and catalog monitoring means the reverse: no login, no session to protect, and a rotating pool so the request rate is spread across many carrier exits instead of concentrating on one. Trying to serve both from a single setup is the most common reason a working setup starts failing after a few weeks.

The IP is one layer. Shopee reads the browser alongside it, so a Jakarta or Bangkok exit paired with a UTC clock, en-US locale and a WebRTC leak exposing your real address is still a mismatch. Give each shop its own browser profile with timezone and language matched to the market, verify the exit type and reputation before you load an account onto it, and keep verification numbers separate per shop. Non-VoIP carrier numbers matter here too, since Shopee's account recovery and seller verification flows are where a weak number layer surfaces.
