What to expect in Switzerland
Switzerland has three mobile networks: Swisscom, Sunrise, which Liberty Global spun off as a listed company in November 2024, and Salt, the former Orange Switzerland, owned by Xavier Niel's NJJ. In our Swiss pool the incumbent comes last: Sunrise leads, Salt is second, and Swisscom third.
Since January 2022, Article 3a of the Unfair Competition Act has barred online shops from blocking, redirecting, or charging customers in Switzerland differently without objective justification. Galaxus, Ricardo, and amazon.de are the most visited shopping sites.
German is the first language of about 62% of residents and French of about 23%, so checks often need Zurich and Geneva exits. iPhones carry about 58% of mobile traffic, and Bing holds about 11% of searches.

Galaxus and Ricardo price monitoring
Track prices on Galaxus and auction results on Ricardo from Swiss carrier IPs, as shoppers in Zurich or Basel see them.
Cross-border price checks
Compare the price, payment terms, and storefront a foreign shop shows a Swiss mobile visitor with what it shows at home, the gap Article 3a is about.
Tutti classifieds data
Collect listings and asking prices from Tutti on rotating Sunrise, Salt, and Swisscom IPs, with Zurich, Bern, or Geneva set when local supply matters.
German and French SERP checks
Check Google and Bing results and ads in German from Zurich and in French from Geneva, since Bing still carries about one Swiss search in ten.
